Start Up MarAri Partners came to us for help in designing and articulating a focusing product to assist new mothers with cervical dilation during the latent, active, and transition phases of child birth.
The Focus Flower is a new idea designed to help mothers reach 10cm diameter dilation, so they can transition and begin the pushing stage of labor. Dialation can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 hours, and there is a tremendous amount of pain during this phase. Focus Flower is used in conjunction with breathing and concentration techniques to help mothers manage and control pain, and will be used as a visual, touch, and mental cue.
